March Mug Madness
Craft the perfect mug!
Learn to throw or hand-build a mug in these classes! Book multiple sessions to expand your skills with Jason, a mug expert! These are beginner friendly clay classes with an emphasis on mugs! All skill levels are welcome, and no prior experience is required. Following the class, our studio staff will handle the glazing of your artwork, or you can choose the "back to glaze" option for an additional $20. Your pieces will be fired and ready for pickup after 3-4 weeks.

Latin Night! Cantarito class
Turn up the vibes at Oasis Pottery with a latin themed clay class! This two-hour class is taught in English and Spanish and open to all levels. Make a cantarito—a traditional clay drinking cup known for keeping drinks cool—and choose your technique, wheel throwing or handbuilding, by selecting the link below. Reserve your spot and get ready for a fire playlist and great energy.

Alchemy Arcade WITH SEIU YANG
Making Lip Vessels That Tell Stories
How do you begin telling your own story through clay? Alchemy Arcade is an interactive ceramic workshop built around a tabletop board game installation. You will move through guided prompts that blend writing, drawing, and clay in one continuous process.
Expect playful disruptions such as:

Draw three circles quickly.

Inside each circle, write one thing you’re tired of pretending about.

From there, we translate those reflections into form.
You will learn how to sculpt expressive lips and construct a functional vessel that carries personal detail and intention. Open to artists, curious beginners, and anyone who wants to play with clay while exploring deeper meaning. Come for the lips. Leave with a process you can return to.

Seiu Yang is a Taiwanese-American ceramic artist and educator whose work explores memory, symbolism, and personal storytelling through clay. She creates immersive workshops that combine writing, play, and sculpture, helping participants transform small observations into meaningful forms.

Hand-Building Classes

No experience needed, Just $60 per person!
While wheel-throwing is often the first thing that comes to mind in pottery, it's noteworthy that hand building stands as the oldest pottery-making technique, relying solely on hands and basic tools. This method offers a truly grounding and inspiring exploration of clay. In our beginner-friendly class, participants will embark on a project using fundamental hand building techniques like pinching, coiling, and/or working with slabs. It's an ideal opportunity for those new to clay or individuals experienced in wheel throwing seeking a fresh creative venture. If you'd prefer to glaze or paint the piece yourself, let your instructor know and pay the "Back to Glaze" fee ($20) in studio to return and paint it yourself during any of our operating hours- no scheduling needed.

Make the perfect photo frame for those polaroids, instax minis, or photobooth strips in our hand building classes. Our instructors will guide you through the steps of sizing and decorating a photo frame. These classes are beginner-friendly and perfect for a solo date, family day, or a way to hangout and create with friends!
