While wheel-throwing is often the first thing that comes to mind in pottery, it's noteworthy that hand building stands as the oldest pottery-making technique, relying solely on hands and basic tools. This method offers a truly grounding and inspiring exploration of clay. In our beginner-friendly class, participants will embark on a project using fundamental hand building techniques like pinching, coiling, and/or working with slabs. It's an ideal opportunity for those new to clay or individuals experienced in wheel throwing seeking a fresh creative venture. The details:

• $60 per person

• 2 hours long

• occur in a small group setting (usually 8 people max)

• includes 3-5 lbs of clay per person

• kiln firing included

• glaze color selection included (glazes are dinnerware safe)
