Wheel Throwing Intro

Come join us for an introduction to pottery wheel throwing! All skill levels are welcome, and no prior experience is required. This class is ideal for beginners or those seeking a refresher on the fundamentals.

Handing Building

In our beginner-friendly class, participants will embark on a project using fundamental hand building techniques like pinching, coiling, and/or working with slabs.

Private Booking

Can't make our usual class times? No problem! We offer private scheduling for one-on-ones, couples, or small group classes! These are scheduled outside of our usual class times and range in price!

We recognize that mastering the art of ceramics requires consistent practice, acknowledging that a single session may not suffice. For enthusiasts seeking to refine their skills, we provide diverse options to make the most of our studio space. Consider purchasing a class pack or securing a membership for unrestricted access to independent work.

“My girlfriends surprised me with a class at Oasis Pottery for my birthday. They told me getting ahold of the owner to schedule an appointment was difficult and she was not responsive, but they were able to secure 3 seats for us the day before we took the class for wheel throwing. As soon as we arrived, we put on aprons and sat at a potter's wheel while the owner/instructor (Martha) demonstrated how to first operate the wheel and then how to center the clay.
Overall, this was such a fun experience and my interest in wheel throwing is piqued. I have more respect for the folks who make it look easy.”

All projects will be finished in 3-4 weeks. You can pick up during any of our open hours. We will hold projects for 30 days once they come out of the kiln. You may not always be notified when a project is fired/finished. Items abandoned over 30 days become property of Oasis Pottery and may no longer be in the studio. They may be thrown out, given away, or used as samples. In other words...come back and pick up your stuff!
