Artist Bio: Marie Serruya is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1991 to a French father and a Polish mother, both artists. She lives and works between Paris and Las Vegas. She has developed a variety of techniques ranging from sewing to painting, including music, dance, and most notably, theater and cinema. Simultaneously, she draws inspiration from this rich world to shape her miniature portraits at the age of 13, marking the beginning of a story. This project, which she called "We are all unique and unlimited" is in perpetual gestation. Her portraits, designed in clay, enamel, watercolor, gouache, gold leaf, bronze, video, and other media—whether minute or gigantic, static or animated—are the guiding theme of her work. A keen observer, it is by taking a sharp look at the men and women who cross her path that she develops her unique and delightfully offbeat universe. Her work uses humor and play as her primary means of expression. Marie Serruya is a resident artist at Poush (a leading incubator in France), she was recently selected as one of the 10 international women artists for the new Venice Biennale pavilion dedicated to NFTs. She has been recognized for the quality of her work by UNESCO, Her work has been shown in galleries in France, Spain, Australia, in fairs and in private collections in Europe, USA, Australia, and Emirates.
