Service Description

While wheel-throwing is often the first thing that comes to mind in pottery, it's noteworthy that hand building stands as the oldest pottery-making technique, relying solely on hands and basic tools. This method offers a truly grounding and inspiring exploration of clay. In our beginner-friendly class, participants will embark on a project using fundamental hand building techniques like pinching, coiling, and/or working with slabs. It's an ideal opportunity for those new to clay or individuals experienced in wheel throwing seeking a fresh creative venture. Post-class, our dedicated staff will complete your pieces with the glaze of your choosing and notify you when they're ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks.

All projects will be finished in 2-3 weeks. You can pick up during any of our class times. We will hold projects for 30 days once they come out of the kiln. You may not always be notified when a project is fired/finished. Items abandoned over 30 days become property of Oasis Pottery and may no longer be in the studio. They may be thrown out, given away, or used as samples. In other words...come back and pick up your stuff!
